Born in 1994 in Cordoba, Argentina, Axel Thierauf’s artistic journey began at a young age.
At the age of fourteen, he began exploring abstract expressionism. Drawing inspiration from Modern Masters such as Jackson Pollock, and later, expressionists like Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, Thierauf’s early works bore the imprint of these influential figures.
Formalizing his artistic education, Thierauf enrolled in Tecnicatura Superior en Artes Visuales in Cordoba, Argentina dedicating three years to honing his craft. During this period, his fascination with classical painting and drawing burgeoned, recognizing them as the bedrock of fine art. Motivated to learn these techniques, Thierauf pursued more specialized studies.
In 2018, Thierauf enrolled at the Saint Petersburg Art Academy in Florence, Italy. Here, he delved into the intricacies of classical art, learning from highly skilled master artists.
Currently teaching and working in his own studio, Thierauf continues to weave his artistic narrative, blending classical influences with his unique vision and unwavering dedication to the pursuit of excellence in the fine arts.
